A coffee chat about design

Exploring the intersection between design, technology & human behaviour in the built digital space.

As a product designer with a background in architecture, I’ve learnt that you’re rarely designing the product itself: you’re designing how people move through it, interact with it and what they need along the way. Product design is a natural extension of thinking like an architectural designer and, combined with my earlier experience working in debt collection, it’s shaped how I approach user research, allowing me to listen closely, read context and understand how the way people behave differs from what they say.

The way I work is grounded more in principles than tools, because good thinking lasts longer than software. I care about getting to the real problem through research: asking better questions, following threads without leading, and understanding underlying needs before reaching for familiar solutions. I enjoy balancing user needs, business context and a strong design point of view.

More recently, I’ve been integrating AI into my design practice where it adds meaningful value: accelerating exploration, expanding the range of ideas considered, and helping move from thinking to testing more quickly. I see it less as replacing design judgement and more as creating space for deeper problem solving. I’m particularly interested in how emerging tools are changing the role of product design and want to keep growing alongside the discipline as it evolves.

Right now I’m open to new opportunities. If you’d like to collaborate, or just have a chat about design, reach out.
